About the chiropractor

Grant Pretorius DC was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1976. He was educated at a highly respected ‘all boys’ secondary school.

Grant’s extremely sporty lifestyle and interest in the function of the human body attracted him to the profession of chiropractic. He started studying chiropractic at The University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 1996. He started his master’s research dissertation in 2002.

After graduating from UJ the adventure bug bit and he decided to move to England with the view to travel and develop both professionally and personally.

Upon arriving in England, Grant registered as a chiropractor after proving his competence to the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). The chiropractic profession is highly regulated and one has to sit a tough exam and interview to prove competence. Once this was achieved, Grant found an associate position in Guildford where he worked for over 3 years. It was in Guildford where he fell in love with an ‘English rose’, Hannah. They married in Guildford during December of 2007.

Following the wedding, the newly weds went out to South Africa for 4 months. Grant benefited from doing locum cover in 3 different chiropractic clinics in 3 different cities. Having had a great adventure and an amazing amount of quality time together, the happy couple returned to England to get on with reality!

Grant Pretorius DC has decided to start up his own practice, ‘The Farnham Chiropractor’, which is currently located at 'Nuffield Health - Fitness and Wellbeing' in Farnham. He is committed to the health and wellbeing of his patients through treatment and education.
