Posture is very important to maintaining a healthy spine and body.

If you work sitting at a desk, these exercises will be very important in helping you maintain good posture.

The first is to help maintain good position of your shoulders, whilst sitting in your chair bring your shoulder up towards your ears, then bring them back and set them down. Holding this position will help to maintain a good posture for your shoulder and reduce the chance of developing rounded shoulders.

Posture Exercises

To help maintain good neck posture. Whilst sitting at your desk, sit up nice and tall, keep your chin parallel to the ground and tuck your chin backwards towards the back of the chair. Holding this for about 10 seconds will help to strengthen the back of your neck, helping to maintain a nice healthy neck position.

Seating Posture

An exercise to help fix poor habits, is to sit on your chair with a nice tall upright back, place a tennis ball between your shoulder blades pressing up the back of the chair. Try keep the ball where it is, as the poor habits sit in and you start to slouch, you will notice the tennis ball will start to roll down your back, which will then help to remind you to maintain your good posture.

Posture

Doing these exercises whenever you start to notice you posture changing will help to fix poor habits and maintain a nice healthy spine and body.
