The Farnham Chiropractic Wellness 'Midlife MOT'
When your are getting to middle age it starts to become obvious you can’t take your health for granted!
Being healthy now will give you the best chance of having a long healthy life into old age. The problem with health is that it can seemingly go wrong suddenly, just like a car can suddenly break down. However, like a car, your body will leave measurable clues about what’s actually going on before you hit a crisis.
What gets measured gets managed, therefore we have designed the ‘Midlife MOT’, because if you know your numbers and your risk factors, you can specifically manage your lifestyle to live a long healthy life.
These test results would be useful for any age group, but it would be the most revealing for anyone in the 40–60-year-old bracket when the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes increase significantly.
What do we measure?
1) Blood tests* looking at:
- kidney function,
- liver function,
- cholesterol,
- blood glucose,
- triglycerides,
- inflammatory markers,
- vitamin D.
2) A thorough physical exam will be performed including:
- Posture analysis,
- Computerised nerve stress tests at the spine,
- Body composition (body fat, lean muscle, and metabolic rate),
- Cardiovascular fitness test,
- Blood pressure,
- Joint orthopaedic test.
3) We will also get valuable information about your health using 2 questionnaires:
- Medical Symptoms Questionnaire (MSQ),
- Health Symptoms Assessment (HSA).
Your Wellness Score
All this information will be summarised in a colour coded ‘Wellness Score’ and discussed with you.
We will discuss solution options for anything that comes up and how we can help. There is no obligation to take any action after the test.
We will provide you with all the above testing in our office in Farnham. Allow about 90 minutes for the Midlife MOT testing and about 60 minutes for the explanatory report. We will need a few days between the testing and the report to receive the blood tests and collate all the information into the Wellness Score.
The price for all the above is just £300.
* The blood tests need to be after at least 8 hours of fasting so best done first thing in the morning before breakfast.
